In an effort to promote more multi-town collaboration on various CPA projects, Community Preservation Committees from the southeast Massachusetts area have been meeting on a regular tri-annual basis. The towns in attendance have included Bridgewater, Dighton, Hanson, Kingston, Marshfield, Middleboro, Plympton, Stoughton, Wareham and West Bridgewater.

December 4, 2014

At their latest meeting, the Southeastern Regional Community Preservation Committees were joined by Melissa Cryan of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs Division of Conservation Services (DCS) - mass.gov/eea/dcs/grants. DCS offers grant programs to municipalities for the acquisition of conservation and recreation land, as well as the development and renovation of parks. Ms. Cryan's presentation focused on the Mass PARC Grant Program, and provided the group with an overview of the program priorities, requirements, eligible costs and the selection process.
